Classical Reform Service February 9

Back to the Classics

A reminder about classical reform service – on the second Friday evening of each month we will hold our classical reform service in the downstairs chapel at the same time, 6pm, that the regular service will be held in the sanctuary.

The classical reform service uses the Union prayer book, which was one of the first prayer books in the United States created by the reform movement. Some of our congregants grew up using this Union prayer book in their congregations as children.

If you have never experienced the use of this prayer book or if it’s one that you’ve used in the past and love, please join us in the chapel for services on the second Friday evening of each month. It uses many of the same prayers, but many of them in English, rather than in Hebrew.

This service is generally shorter than our normal service, and you may even want to move into the sanctuary afterwards to hear our Rabbi’s wonderful sermons. Then join everyone in the social hall for kiddush and ha Motzi.

Try us, you might like it!

The next Classical Reform Service will occur Friday, February 9th.
