For more than 150 years, TBJ has been a home for Jewish life in Des Moines—ever since we became the city’s first Jewish congregation and, soon after, Iowa’s first Reform congregation.
At our core, we’re all about creating a community that feels warm, inclusive, and supportive. Our mission is simple: to make sure everyone who walks through our doors (or joins us online!) feels welcome and connected.
We love exploring Judaism in ways that feel meaningful in today’s world—through spirituality, worship, learning, social action, and community.
