The Temple will be honoring all of our graduating High School Seniors on May 7th during our Family Shabbat Service at 6:00 p.m.
Families with Seniors, please email a picture of your senior with a short bio including future plans for the next Temple Bulletin. Please email office@templebnaijeshurun.com if you have any questions.
Join us this Thursday at 6 pm for our Family Friendly Megillah Reading celebration online led by Rabbi Kaufman. Wear your costumes, physical or virtual, and join us for our joyful annual reading! Contact the Temple office or make sure you are subscribed to our emails for the Zoom link.
Then join us October 11th for the Hike on Facebook Live.
Participate in this year’s hike by getting active – walk, bike, or hike sometime next week. We will hike distant but together in the fight against food insecurity!
Then, join the Des Moines Area Hunger Hike on Sunday, October 11, 2020, at 1:30pm on Facebook Live as we hear from guest speakers about their missions to alleviate hunger both locally and globally.
The Temple Youth Group is accepting donations for the hike! You can send a check directly to the Hunger Hike, make a donation online or send a check to the Temple and we can forward your donation on. Remember to put Des Moines Area Jewish Community on the memo line.
We plan to hold an outdoor in-person Erev Sukkot Shabbat service at the Temple this Friday, October 2 at 6:00pm. We will open both sides of the Sukkah to allow people to walk through the Sukkah, one family at a time, so that they can say the blessings and wave the Lulav and Etrog in celebration of the holiday.
For the service, please bring your own chairs and / or blankets.
Masks will be required.
If weather is bad, we will be online, but so far it is looking good. Please note we will also be streaming this service via Zoom.
Friday, March 6 is Family Shabbat with the Family Megillah Reading at 6:00pm! We will also have Classic Shabbat in the Chapel downstairs. Following services is a Shabbat Dinner in the social hall. We will also have hamentashen of course!
Following services is the Youth Group First Friday Gathering. We hope you will join us!
